ABOUT ME

With her showstopping presence, Abrielle Uyehara is known as a bold and captivating performer. She has performed in Brigham Young University–Hawaii’s productions of Mamma Mia!, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Once on this Island. In addition to her roles in the ensemble, she has been a featured dancer and dance captain. Abrielle has been dancing in the styles of lyrical, contemporary, pom, hip-hop and jazz for the past thirteen years. A versatile singer, Abrielle is also a featured vocalist in BYU–Hawaii’s Studio Jazz Orchestra, and a member of the Hoʻolōkahi Chamber Choir, working closely with the choirʻs director, Dr. Erica Glenn, as her choral assistant.

 Abrielle is studying vocal performance under Dr. Melissa Walker Glenn and taking private songwriting lessons with Dr. Daniel Henderson. Abrielle worked for one year as an audio specialist in media productions, where she learned to record music, organize community projects and create podcasts. Abrielleʻs charismatic personality has drawn her to explore many interests including, medical studies, psychology, and working with children. She loves connecting with others and having the opportunity to learn and grow from her environment.
